This piece was inspired by people passing one another on a busy city street. To enhance the idea of the stage as a busy street, a cityscape was projected onto the cyc. As the music started, a large crowd of people danced together in cool tones, then small duets and trios pulled away from the crowd and were highlighted with warm sources of light, giving them a floating appearance. As duets, trios, and a soloist danced downstage, the upstage dancers became silhouetted figures. Throughout the piece, the cyc created a romantic setting, mimicking sunset and dusky, evening light.
